Emilia: we're having lots of fun following your posts. Mr. Matt is doing a good job of teaching but not as good as you. Will you be back before summer break? Are you cold or do have the right outerwear? Have you been seasick? Is the answer to the question about the ice sea ice? We miss you. David:What animals have you seen? How many animals have you seen? I miss you. Harrison: I'm happy that you saw the volcano. I'm happy that your plane can go so fast.

Hi Majersik Family! So great to hear from you. I have been writing journals everyday but the last few haven't made it up yet. I miss you guys tons!!!
Emilia- Glad to hear that you guys are having fun with Mr. Matt (but not too much fun!:) I will be back in five weeks so we will have lots of school left to go. It will be strange to get back when it is already so warm and have practically missed Spring altogether! It is actually much less cold than I expected. It has been up to 34 somedays! The wind is the big chiller. It blows off the ice and brrrr! I do have the right gear though. Most of the time, if I am working, I am wearing a "Mustang Suit". I posted one of these in a picture that should be coming soon. Otherwise, pants, wool socks, shirt, thicker shirt, fleece, hat mittens and I am all set!
The first night we set sail, I was very sick. "Doc" gave me a shot that made me feel better and when I woke up we were moving through the ice and I felt much better. We will see what happens when we are back in open water. Keep your fingers crossed! You were right... sea ice!
David- Good questions! I saw two Spotted seals and a pod of walruses yesterday. I will put pictures on the web very soon! The walruses were everywhere as far as I could see from the boat and they all looked like they were lounging in hot tubs the way that they were hanging around in the holes in the ice. They are very strange looking but very cute!
Harrison- I felt lucky that my plane could fly so fast too! I wish that you had been there to see it with me! I hope that you could see it on the picture though. Keep writing with the questions!
