Hey team! Reading/Viewing Brian's journal entries brought back a lot of wonderful memories I had in Mac Town and on the Ice. Your Happy Camper school appeared to be much more fun than mine - we had a storm blow in, and I experienced moderate hypothermia (worked on that wall too long in the storm not noticing my sweat was freezing my shirt - don't remember much after that until later I was stirring some soup later with a different thermal and fleece shirt on) and after trekking out to the port-potties I noticed that my toes hurt excruciatingly. My tent-mate had me pull off my boots and notice my socks were frozen. So...after warming my toes so that the ice melted and we could remove my socks, and he said I had 1st degree frost bite. Fortunately, we listened to our instructors and knew what to do, and today I can wear all of my peep-toe heels I want! :)
Loved your videos taking us through Mac Town and seeing the dorms, the Coffee House, Galleghers, the Galley (I noticed the freshies were missing). Did your students ask you how you knew your coat would still be there when you returned? :)
When I worked with ANDRILL, each night I sat in the Rac-Tent with the lead scientists and looked at the images our air gun was depicting, and they taught me how to read the images and transmit them into data, which I was then able to use in my classroom? Where you able have to the same opportunity where you can take the data into your classroom?
