What was the most interesting site for a seismic station? Why?

Brian DuBay

Most sites were quite similar with what seemed like infinite planes of snow. These sites were fascinating because often we were where no other human had ever stepped. However, the most interesting, and by far the most dangerous site was the blue ice install (see video). The ice was extraordinary blue and contained so many crevasses. That site also took the longest to install, due to the fact that every step we took was with trepidation. We also had to use multiple anchors and rigging to secure the station as opposed to digging a hole and placing the station in. Sent from my iPhone
