Tundra Nutrient Seasonality

Hi! This is Bob, a student from Macon Early College, and I would like to hear about living conditions on The Arctic Tundra. How do you connect to the internet? When you're not doing science, how do you pass the time? I hope you're haveing all haveing a great time!

Living conditions here are excellent. We have two T1 lines for
Internet, very fast and reliable. Power for the camp is supplied by
diesel generators, and all our food is prepared by great cooks and is
served in a dining hall. Some folks live in big wood floored tents
called weatherports...they have cozy beds, electricity and internet
connections. I have a great room in a trailer, typical dorm style room
with bunks, desk, closet and dresser. Very comfortable!
I am pretty busy most of the time doing science or thinking about how to
share it, especially with my journals. However, I enjoy going for walks
on a little trail here every day; I check on several birds nests.
Sometimes we watch movies, people play badminton and T-Ball, we have a
weekly bonfire and games like horseshoes. We don't have TV, but lots of
movies are stored around. Check out some of my journals and see what
all I've been up to. Nick LaFave, a PolarTREC teacher working with
spiders, just posted a nice journal about life in camp, that might give
you some insight into camp, as well.
