How is the boat breaking through the thick ice of the Artic Ocean?

The Healy was designed and built to break ice...it has VERY powerful engines to move through the ice. As the ice becomes thicker,our speed drops and it becomes very loud as we cut through the ice. There is a 3 foot blade at the bow of the ship that essentially cuts the ice and turns it over as we sail past. It is an amazing thing to witness...this ship has so much power!
