Winter Sampling

We have been keeping an eye on the weather models for your area through the animations on stormsurf and it looks like the sequence of storms is increasing . Do you think that as the light continues to fade that you will experience as many storms while you are out?

That is a GREAT question. We left Seward and steamed right up to North of Barrow (besides the short delay for the earlier storm in the Bering). We have not yet sampled the majority of Stations in the Bering as the thought was - start North and work back towards Dutch Harbor. The longer we stay North of the Bering Strait, the better the weather is predicted.
