Great pictures. My Earth science class is in a part of the curriculum where we're combining basic atmospheric heating and climate change concepts, so the barely sunrise pictures will be good to illustrate how the tilt of Earths axis affects daylight. That combined with the formation of sea ice will also be good re enforcement for surface heating (or lack of it). Have you been taking additional CDT readings or other data collection and getting temperature/depth profiles - maybe with water density measurements? I'd like to get some real-time data for my students to see or plot if it's available.

Glad the storms are over - stay warm!

I'm glad you find my images useful! We do a CTD cast at each station, so we have LOTS of CTD plots. I will see if I can get some up in the Resource section of the Journal...check back later! You can also find LOTS of real-time data...CTD plots and other information at Rolling Deck to Repository http://www.rvdata.us/overview Hope that helps!!
