What type of microscopes are used to identify the copepods? What magnification do you have to use?

Great question - unfortunately, I am no longer on the ship so I don't KNOW what brand we used, however, I DO know we used binocular microscopes and looked usually at 12 X magnification. I also know the microscopes were OLD - because they aren't made as "tough" as they used to be!
