Good question and VERY observant...that is the Emergency Escape Breathing Device...so if there is a fire or toxic gas, the EEBD has enough fresh air in them so that you can get to an outside deck of the ship. You secure the mask around your face and breath fresh air while you make your way tp a safe spot!________________________________
