Hi Mr. Wood! It is Sam Marlow from per. 5. These are my answers to journal 1:

  1. I think these circles form by icey and cold tempartures and the water freezing and circling around each other.
  2. By looking at your photo it seems that there are three main oxbox lakes.
  3. Some adaptions the polar bear has to make are having a nice fur coat, trying new moves and skills for hunting, and using new sight, smell, hear, taste, and touch. 4.The pattern tells us that when the water isn't frozen that the water forms in such ways, like currents or patterns. 5.This water tells us that the slope of the land is determined by the patterns.

Hello there. Good to hear from you. Good thinking on your answers. Also remember that the river is bending and winding a bunch because it is moving very slowly when it is not frozen. That means that the land is pretty flat in that place. Thanks,
Mr. Wood
