Hi, Mr wood its Jeremy from period 5 , i have 2 question about your first journal entry: how long is the ocean near Anchorage? Also, is the ocean near Anchorage any longer or wider than any major oceans near California? Please answer soon and good luck on your expedition.

John Wood

It's good to hear from you. Anchorage is really in an arm of water that is connected to the Pacific Ocean. That arm is called the Cook Inlet. It's a pretty big piece of water that is surrounded by land on three sides, so Anchorage is protected from the rough ocean. As you know, California has a coastline with the Pacific Ocean. Thanks,
Mr. Wood
