What has been your favorite part about being in Antarctica?

Hi. That's a great question and one that some of my team in Antarcticahave asked me. It's also one of the hardest ones to answer because I
have seen and learned so much down there.
Leaning about the science in the WISSARD project and the other projects
going on in Antarctica is definitely one of the best parts. Being is
school everyday you lose track of just how much is being done to learn
about this great Earth that we live on. This helps me to appreciate how
man continues to search for answers.
Another thing that was really cool was working on a frozen ocean. The
sea ice and shelf ice are pretty flat and featureless, but it's amazing
to think that the limitless expanse of ice has a living ocean underneath
it. The ice seems to extend forever away from you, but it's also a
really big part of that natural environment.
I'm on my way home now, but I have some more journal entries to post
when I get there, so keep reading. (I'm in the Sydney, Australia airport
waiting for my next flight).
