Hey everyone! The Polar Connect has now been archived on YouTube so if you missed the event you can still partake by viewing at your leisure. Thank you to everyone who participated. We really enjoyed sharing our science adventure with you.

We have been very busy spending every day out on fjord gathering data. It is constant work but we are loving every minute of it. When we are on the umpteenth CTD cast or realize that we have lost yet another sediment trap, we only need to look up to remember what an incredible experience this is.
After preparing and hosting the Polar Connect event, we participated last night in a webinar with the Commander, Naval Meteorological and Oceanographic Command, Rear Admiral Gallaudet, which was informative and enlightening. It is early in the morning now and we will be back in the boats soon.
Webinar with the Commander, Naval Meteorological and Oceanographic CommandStay tuned! I have much more to share in the journal, including a piece on sedimentology featuring our own mud guy, Steve Ossim. I'll be right back at you this evening, when we return from the boats.
Here is a beautiful picture that I took yesterday in the fjord- just a way to share our experience with you.
A beautiful day on the fjordHa en god dag! (Have a good day!)
