Well, who would have thought that preparedness training would come into play so quickly.  I hope that none of the students had to use their emergency ponchos, even though they were SO stylish Undecided  And I'm glad that everyone had some practice in planning for how to deal with extreme weather - because it can happen in Antarctica, or Africa - or your own back yard!

Luckily all of my students weathered the tornado without having to use their emergency ponchos.  One of my students, DeQuires, mentioned that he was really glad that we had discussed how to handle crisis situations.  He was home when a tornado passed by and he felt that the training had helped him to be better prepared.  DeQuires told me that it is one thing to talk about what to do and another thing to actually have to do it.  I hope that I do as well as DeQuires if I am faced with a situation that involves extreme weather.
