Gumby

Gumby began his career as an Education-Flight Specialist in January 2005. He was initially hired by Ai Signal Research, Inc and later transferred to WILL Technology, Inc. Although the list of accomplishments is quite long, he is best known for his motivating smile and charm. Gumby has logged numerous hours of flight in 5 different specialized aircraft where he was both commander and pilot for all missions. His first mission, SLI-1 was in April 2005 onboard a silver and black 12 foot rockets, 6 inches in diameter and weighing 40 lbs at liftoff. Propulsion systerms were clustered with a K660 center solid motor and four J solids, carrying him to 5,230 feet, nearly 1 mile! On his next mission, using an M class solid motor, he was lifted over the mile mark to 5,329 feet!

Gumby flew a specialized mission in 2006 as part of the Team America Rocketry Challenge where he was ejected with parachute at apogee. He became certified by the National Association of Rocketry in 2006 as well. He has traveled to Johnson Space Center, Marshall Space Flight Center and Kennedy Space Center where he was granted special VIP tours! He enjoys traveling, meeting new people, hanging out with the SW, playing shuffleboard, and visiting with Ms. Baker.
