Journal Entry

OK, well really it was the Beaufort Sea, but it is contiguous with the Arctic Ocean. We did a lot of data collection of many types. I will share the whole story soon. Right now, I forgot to bring my glasses to the school where I can get internet reception and I am about to fall asleep AND we need to filter all of the water samples that we collected. It could take six hours and it's already almost 8:30. I will get the pictures uploaded. Tomorrow I do not go into the field so I will have time to get that done. Thanks for listening! jill

After noon we were ready to load up and board the boat for a day of sampling. These first few photos were taken as we boarded and motored out to the first site.

A full and successful day of sampling and collecting mean a full night of processing samples and filtering water. These women are tireless!
