Journal Entry

Just a reminder- you can still register for my PolarConnect event, which will take place this coming Monday, March 9, at 11:15 AM EDT. Dr. Frank Nitsche and I will talk about the research taking place on the ship and how it fits into building a comprehensive understanding of Thwaites Glacier. We will also talk about life onboard and what it is like to be trapped on a boat with a limited number of peanut butter cups and no dogs for two months! You can register to participate here: https://www.polartrec.com/polar-connect/register/

And now... Who wore it best? Four pictures of the same spectacular sunset - which one do you like the most and why?

Class 203 thinks the 4th picture is the best.

Chloes sees the sky is brighter than the others. She sees some of the icebergs up close on the ocean.

Yahaili feels that it looks like a painting.

I think that because it was taken with the sun higher in the sky the ice looks more luminescent.

I am partial to sunset #2 for the vibrant color contrast and the contrast of warm colors with ice-filled water. But I also love that you captured life in sunset #1. Thanks for sharing!
