This journal comes from our home in Chester, VT. Today is the first work day that I have not been wearing long johns!! Shorts and tevas are a welcome change, as are hugs and kisses from Julie and Marina. ☺ This final journal provides a few summary photos and thoughts. A final reflection will come

Today was another day that saw Iskatel (our ship and our home, for a few more days) hiding from a storm on the Pacific Ocean side of Simushir Island. As with our stay up at Matua, we decided to try to do at least some science so that the day wasn't a total waste of time. The wind (and the rain)

We have been here at 69N, 133W waiting for the fuel barge for the past 24 hours. It is late. While it is frustrating to have to wait, this situation reminds us that it is not worth getting worked up over something we cannot control. We use the time to catch up on data analysis and to pack. Finally

The Arctic Scenes for Stargate Continuum (now on DVD) were filmed at the APLIS '07 ice camp, before the SEDNA scientists arrived. The day was relatively quiet with the exception of another polar bear being sighted. This bear stayed around longer and therefore provided lots of photo opportunities. BIG thanks to JR and Isaac for once again keeping up safe and getting some good polar bear pictures. Tonight’s journal was supposed
